Spring updates!

Okay, I am not great about blogging yet.  We have had a busy year so far.   Justin always keeps us hopping with sports and we have just started the baseball season.  His biggest passion in life.  Sarah is taking guitar lessons and sounds beautiful.  Emma just keeps us all on our toes everyday.  I have been working on my photography and have actively been starting a business with it.  You can check out my website at http://www.jenniferfolzphotography.com/  The design industry for consultants took a dive with the economy so over a year ago I started working with my camera again and remembered how much I love it.   I have had a lot of requests and now have a business that I really enjoy.  I am going to mix my design in with baby nurseries and helping people use their life as art decor in their homes. 

Jeff has been very busy at the bank with his job and we are currently trying to sell our home so things are always hectic.  All our love to you all!

Updates

We are off to a new school year and the kids are settled into their classes. Justin is a 5th grader this year (oh how time flies) and really likes his teacher. Sarah is in 3rd grade with the same teachers as last year (a 2-3split class) and that has been so good for her. And Emma, the big Kindergartener! she is in all day and loves it. Tells me all the rules you have to follow and who is not doing it. Recess and lunch of course are her favorite.

Jeff has been plugging away at his job and I have been very busy working on getting my photography portfolio together to start shooting professionally. I have a website in the works and will let you know when it is up and running. I am going to hopefully mix my design background with photography someday and shoot the interiors of homes, but I love doing people too and that is were I will start. I really am enjoying it and look forward to each new shoot. Well that is it for now, take care everyone.

I don't know about everyone else but we are ready for spring around here. This is a very short video showing our new puppy that is due to come home on the 4th of March. Her name is Bailey and the girls are counting down the days. This was suppose to happen last spring but when Jeff lost his job we decided that was definitely not the time to get a new financial responsibility. She is a darling pup and is a Shichon. She does not shed which is a huge bonus because I can't stand pet hair in my house.

Happy New Year

Hi everyone! I hope your new year is starting out with smiles. Nothing new to report on our end. Jeff is still looking for a job and we are waiting with anticipation for what this year will bring for us. We had a wonderful Christmas with my Mom and Dad, Jill, Marcus and the boys. Jill is expecting #3 so she was a little more tired then usual but we are all so excited for a new baby! We are now in basketball season with Justin and headed right toward baseball season already. I am sure it just ended, but here we are again. I just wish we had warmer weather for the outdoor sports. The girls continue to entertain us with a lot of singing and dancing around the house. Mostly High School Musical selections! I will try to figure out the video on this site and give you all a snip of our future American Idols.

Kids photos

Hi everyone, we have new photos of the kids and thought you might like to look at them. I am trying to hone my photography skills and did the kids pictures this year. I think they turned out really well. We are still hanging on by the grace of God and are really excited to see what happens in the next few weeks. It can only go up since we are at the bottom, so Hallelujah to that! I hope you are all well, let us know how things are going by using the comment section at the bottome of this update. And if you missed the last blog check it out. It will up date you on what has been happening in our lives the last few months/year.

We had a great summer and this was one of our highlights. Our whole family on my side went to Ocean Shores for a week and had a wonderful time. All the cousins got to play together and it was a joy watching them. Shortly after this Julie and Tim and the girls left for Florida. I guess it is good to have family in the sunshine state for my need to get a heavy dose of vitamin D in the winter months. We thought for a while that we might be going there as well but that just didn't seem to be in God's plan for us. Jeff is still looking for work and we are in constant prayer that just the right job will come available for him. We would love your prayers for this as well.

Justin had a ton of fun this summer playing on several different select leagues but this is him playing on the little league All Stars team in June. The Mill Creek boys went on to the little league World Series! We are proud to say we played in the same league. Justin continues to love baseball, however now that fall is here we are watching a lot of football and gearing up for his basketball season.

I got to do a lot of reading this summer and have loved every minute of that. It was a good diversion to dealing with some of the more stressful moments we have had with the lack of job, still having 2 homes and needing to make hard decisions for us all. I could never have survived this much or this long without my relationship with Christ and am thankful for it everyday.

Justin and Sarah and I all entered items in the fair this year. It was fun to see the kids get excited about doing something. Justin has his mom's love of photography and entered two pictures that he received 3rd place for. They were really good! I entered one photo and received 2nd place and Sarah my sweet baker girl got a 1st place for Great Grandma Connelley's chocolate chip cookies!! The judges has really great comments for her and that was a huge deal for her. Emma really wanted to enter something as well (must do what the big kids do!) but we told her next year she is able to. She continues to amaze us with her quick whit and love for life and anything she can try. What an angel, a VERY BUSY angel!

The kids are at the local public school this year and so far are doing well. We are excited about their love for learning and they seem to be making the adjustment from private to public pretty well. They already know lots of kids in the school because of growing up with them in church and on different sports teams so that helps out. Pictures will follow soon.

I hope to blog more as the fall settles in and keep everyone more up to date.

We are on line!

Here is our first official blog. It has taken me a while to get this going but I hope it will be helpful in keeping everyone up to date on what is happening in our family. Emma is getting so big and just a delight and so full of personallity. I think she got a double helping of it.

Sarah loves to help out in the kitchen. she is a good little cook!

Jacob turned one year old already! Here Jill's gorgeous family. I love my little boys! We went to Yakima for the birthday party and just a really fun weekend with my family.

Our latest news that most of you know is that Jeff is looking for new employment. they "eliminated his position" at Genie and we are now looking forward to what God has in store for us elsewhere. Maybe somewhere sunnier then here?! We will see and keep you updated.
